Privacy policy (GDPR)

    Information on the processing of personal data under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR). This English text is a courtesy translation; only the Czech version is legally binding.

    1. Data controller

    The controller of personal data is Watt Invest s.r.o., company ID 23061596 (the ‘controller’). The controller is responsible for ensuring that all personal data is processed in line with applicable law, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

    2. Personal data we process

    In the course of our work we may process the following personal data:

    • first name and surname,
    • telephone number,
    • e‑mail address,
    • address (where given as part of an enquiry or contract),
    • data required to process subsidy applications (see section 10),
    • any other data provided voluntarily during our communication.

    3. Purposes and legal bases for processing

    • Handling an enquiry or question sent through the contact form, by telephone or by e‑mail.
    • Keeping a record of our communication and follow-up cooperation, so that we can respond to your needs in future (for example servicing or related services).
    • Meeting contractual and statutory obligations, such as accounting and tax records.
    • The controller's legitimate interest – protecting legal claims, archiving communication, developing services and customer support.
    • Taking photographic documentation and using it in marketing (see section 9).
    • Handling subsidy applications (see section 10).

    4. How long we keep personal data

    • data from contact forms and enquiries is kept for the duration of our cooperation and for 5 years afterwards,
    • data kept for statutory reasons (such as accounting documents) is kept for the period required by law,
    • data relating to subsidy applications is kept for the period set by the relevant subsidy programme,
    • in justified cases data may be kept longer on the basis of a legitimate interest, for example for long-term projects or to protect legal claims.

    5. Recipients of personal data

    We do not disclose your personal data to third parties, except where it is necessary:

    • to meet statutory obligations (for example accounting),
    • to provide IT services and hosting (server administrators, e‑mail providers) – always with appropriate contractual safeguards,
    • to submit and administer subsidy applications with the relevant authorities and institutions.

    6. Your rights as a data subject

    You have the right:

    • of access to your personal data,
    • to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete personal data,
    • to erasure (the ‘right to be forgotten’),
    • to restriction of processing,
    • to data portability,
    • to object to processing based on our legitimate interests,
    • to withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal.

    You can exercise your rights by e‑mail at riha@wattinvest.cz, or in writing at the company's registered address.

    7. Data security

    We protect your personal data with technical and organisational measures against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Only authorised personnel have access to it.

    8. Supervisory authority

    9. Photographic documentation of completed work

    While delivering our services we may take photographs of electrical installations, equipment and completed work. These photographs may be used for:

    • internal records of the project,
    • presenting our services on our website, on social media and in marketing materials.

    Photographs are always published anonymously, without names, exact addresses or other details that would identify the customer. If a customer does not wish photographs of their property to be used for marketing, they can object by e‑mail at riha@wattinvest.cz or directly when the contract is agreed.

    10. Processing personal data for subsidy applications

    Where a customer asks Watt Invest s.r.o. to arrange a subsidy on their behalf, we also need to process the personal data required by the subsidy provider (for example the Czech Ministry of the Environment, the State Environmental Fund or other authorised institutions).

    For this purpose we may process in particular:

    • first name, surname and title,
    • permanent address,
    • date of birth and national identification number (where required),
    • contact details (telephone, e‑mail),
    • identity card or other identification document number,
    • bank account details,
    • property details (title deed, cadastral information).

    We process this data solely to submit and administer the subsidy application and keep it for the period set by law or by the subsidy programme. It is shared only with the authorities and institutions that require it.

    This policy is effective from 1 December 2025.
